Membership is not effective until dues are paid.

An “active member” shall be any attorney who is a member in good standing and is licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland.

An “associate member” shall be any professor of law or person who is a member in good standing and is licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction, other than Maryland, and who lives in Prince George’s or Montgomery counties.

The bar membership year is from July 1 until June 30. Each year, payment is due on July 1, with a one month grace period for members in good standing during the preceding year.

Participation in elections and chairing or voting in standing committees are contingent upon being in good standing.
