
Prior to joining Stein Sperling, Sahmra founded and led S.A. Stevenson Law Offices, LLC a boutique law firm, and pioneered Maryland’s first mobile and virtual estate planning platform, Wills on Wheels, Inc. She is an accomplished speaker, published author, and active leader within both the American Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.
Sahmra has received several awards and accolades, including an induction into the Maryland Bar Foundation in 2014, and the American Bar Foundation in 2022. Ms. Stevenson was named as one of the distinguished Top 40 Under 40 by The National Black Lawyers in 2021 and 2022. She was also recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for both Maryland and the District of Columbia every year from 2016 through 2020. In 2021 Ms. Stevenson was recognized as an official Super Lawyer for the first time and she has been recognized as a Super Lawyer every year since. The Super Lawyers Rising Stars, and Super Lawyers lists recognize no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state.
In 2020 Ms. Stevenson graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Fellowship Program. Shortly thereafter she was chosen to receive the President’s Award from Prince George’s County Bar Association in June 2022.
Sahmra currently serves as Chair of the Website & Technology Committee for the Maryland State Bar Association’s Estates & Trusts Section, as part of the Executive Board for the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association as their Assistant Treasurer, and as a member of the State Bar’s Member Content Committee.
