Caryn Hines

Treasurer

Caryn Hines is an attorney with more than twenty years of legal and administrative experience in the areas of employment, litigation, intellectual property, business transactions, negotiations, contracts, and international trade.  She adjudicates cases as the Chair of the Board of Appeals of Montgomery County, Maryland. She is a former administrative law judge with experience as an arbitrator, mediator and hearing officer primarily in employment.

Ms. Hines currently serves in the Maryland Office of the Secretary of State working on issues to protect domestic violence survivors.

As an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland Global Campus, she teaches in the M.B.A. program courses such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship and International Business Law.  She also teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution at Montgomery College.

She is the Coordinator/Treasurer for the National Consortium of Racial and Ethnic Fairness in the Courts. Ms. Hines has been recognized for her leadership being awarded  a Congressional fellowship and a fellowship from the International Career Advancement Program of the University of Denver.  Ms. Hines received her B.A. from Fisk University and J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She also holds a certificate of International Project Finance from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
